British Gas Business

Challenge

Whilst British Gas are known for their range of services in the residential market, penetration amongst the business audience is significantly lower and as such, we were tasked, in the winter months of 2014,  to produce a campaign to drive awareness of their services amongst SME business owners.

Solution

We knew and understood how business critical a faulty boiler or broken appliances could be to a small business – it might mean no hot water for a hairdresser or a complete kitchen shutdown for a restaurant. Based on this, the campaign idea was developed around “not letting winter getting in the way of your work”. We produced, amongst other things, two radio commercials and a range of print executions to bring this idea to life.

We planned and implemented the campaign across several channels including radio, newspapers, trade press, email marketing, inserts and online display.

Results

Outcome

Results were impressive. The client loved the creative and was really pleased with the campaign, especially as the whole project was turned around within a matter of a few weeks. And we’re now looking at ways to build on the success of the activity in 2015.
